Black Jersey Giants

Jersey Black Giants are attractive birds that happen to be the largest of the dual-purpose breed chickens. From the day they hatch they have some white feathers. However when they molt their juvenile plumage, they are solid black and bit of a greenish shine to them. They grow very slowly and are not a good choice for broilers but hens weigh about 10 pounds and males mature at13 lbs.
