Dominiques
Documnented as far back as 1820, the Dominiques are one of the oldest American breeds. They are outstanding, efficient producers of brown eggs. Standard weights at maturity are male-7 lbs, and hen-5 lbs. They are a black and white barred bird with the females being slightly darker in color than the males. Dominiques have rose combs, angular bodies and are smaller than Barred Rocks.
