Dominiques - Cockrels only until 2010
Documnented as far back as 1820, the Dominiques are one of the oldest American breeds. They are outstanding, efficient producers of brown eggs. Standard weights at maturity are male-7 lbs, and hen-5 lbs. They are a black and white barred bird with the females being slightly darker in color than the males. Dominiques have rose combs, angular bodies and are smaller than Barred Rocks.
